As a result of the significant disruption that is being caused by the COVID-19 pandemic we are very aware that many researchers will have difficulty in meeting the timelines associated with our peer review process during normal times. Please do let us know if you need additional time. Our systems will continue to remind you of the original timelines but we intend to be highly flexible at this time.

Aims and scope
Sustainability is a global challenge identified by the United Nations. There is a uniform drive in every region of the world to invest time and money into developing solutions to meet this global challenge. Consequently, sustainability research is one of the fastest growing scientific fields today.
Sustainable Earth aims to address this by publishing high-quality, open access research from all topics related to this discipline. As a community-focused journal, it serves both the realms of academia and the general public and strives to strengthen the bond between them through traditional and innovative scientific communication. To further this vision, the journal will engage authors and readers in contemporary topics in the public eye or of critical socio-economic importance through the publication of thematic series.
The journal’s subtitle – ‘Science, Policy, Society’ – highlights the connectivity between core research, policy and everyday life. As such, the journal particularly welcomes articles that may influence policy or alter societal paradigms.
